    Most same-day crown appointments take between 90 minutes and two hours from start to finish. This includes the consultation, the 3D scan, milling your crown and fitting it. You are in and out in a single visit with no return appointment needed.

    The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic so you should not feel any pain during the appointment. Some mild sensitivity around the treated tooth is normal for a day or two afterwards and settles on its own.

    With proper care, a CEREC same-day crown can last 10 to 15 years or more. Regular brushing, flossing and routine dental check-ups will help protect your crown and keep it looking its best for as long as possible.

    Yes. CEREC crowns are milled from high-quality tooth-coloured porcelain using precision CAD software. The fit, strength and appearance are comparable to traditionally made crowns. The key difference is convenience — no temporary crown, no second appointment and no waiting.

    All Cosmetic Dental accepts all major Australian health funds including Bupa, HCF, Medibank, nib, Peoplecare and CBHS. The amount covered will depend on your specific policy and level of cover. We recommend checking with your fund before your appointment.
